Made in Nature, established in 1989 by Gerald Prolman, was the first company to successfully introduce a line of branded, organic produce to supermarket chains in the United States. Prolman led significant organic agriculture developments in the early 1990s and was responsible for converting well over 10,000 acres in several countries to organic fruit and vegetable production.
