Wikstrom's Limpa is a fresh bakery bread made from an old world recipe by a Swedish Bakery in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood. There are many types of Limpa bread in Sweden and many wonderful recipes. Wikstrom's limpa is in the Vort family which contains orange peel, anise and caraway seed. Wikstroms limpa is slightly moister than traditional Vort limpa and less spiced. This slightly sweet rye bread is wonderful for everyday or on your smorgasbord. Keep refrigerated or frozen.
